Hi, I'm Zhao [ˈdʒaʊ], currently a first-year doctoral student at Department of Computer Science of University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA.

Previously, I was a Master's student at Department of Computer Science of University of Manitoba, Canada. I was working in the Database and Data Mining Lab under supervision of Prof. Carson Leung.

News

I just set up the website for my Android weather app: EarlyWeather. I developed the app in the summer of 2013 using Environment Canada's weather data. It's been 3 years!
I rewrote my resume, which was written in LibreOffice, using HTML and CSS. The PDF version is generated from the webpage in Firefox (use windows/cmd-p to preview the pdf on the webpage version). CSS has print media module, but main stream browsers Firefox, Chrome and Safari don't support it... I really hope they do so I can control the page count stuff. They should also really set the pdf title when printing as PDF...
I eventually have another personal website, even though I developed several using Ruby on Rails. This happens as I'm in the process of applying Ph.D. (yes, PhD! Research is fun!), every PhD seems having a personal website.
